Baseball players as actors

Posted by admin

not sure where this ad is airing, but has anyone else seen that badly produced spot featuring Nats getting ready for some sort of HD broadcast? I think the takeaway from that is less the quality of HD and more the fact that these guys shouldn’t give up their day jobs. Still, it’s endearing.

Smoltz. All the way till the 6th.

I kind of want to hate him, but I can’t. The great thing about Smoltz killing our hitters today is that our rather thin lineup of active pitchers can learn a lot from watching the guy.

As we all know, Bush and Putin are both checking out Aruban properties in eager anticipation of retirement from their respective offices. I heard some asinine news reporter referring to them as “two old war horses riding off into the sunset.” Or something like that. Smoltz is 40, and we can safely assume he’s on thesame trajectory. I think we can also safely assume he’s more deserving of that title.
